A cannabis farm worth an estimated £450,000 was uncovered during a drugs raid in Longsight this morning.
Police carried out the search on Birch Lane at around 7am on Friday (March 23). Around 55 fully grown plans and 64 smaller plants were found during the bust.
One man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis, a spokesman for GMP said. He remains in custody for questioning.

Sergeant Mike Williams, of GMP's Longsight neighbourhood team, said: “Our neighbourhood team successfully acted on intelligence that was given to us by members of the community to target drug manufacture and dealing in the area.
“As promised, we are doing our best to bring offenders to justice and take illegal drugs out of circulation.
