Police treating car fire on Scottish beach as 'wilful'

A CAR fire on a Fife beach is being treated as "wilful," police have said.

The incident happened early on Sunday morning at West Sands beach in St Andrews. Officers were called just after 3am.

No injuries were reported, and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.10am on Sunday, June, 28, we received a report of a car on fire on West Sands Road, St Andrews.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“The fire is being treated as wilful, and enquiries are ongoing.”
