Police have been issued stop and search powers in a large area of Swansea as a 14-year-old boy remains critical in hospital.
The new powers follow an incident at Gorseinon Bus Station on Thursday, February 10, where the young man suffered stab wounds.
Two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident on Thursday evening, and police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward to help with their investigations.

A statement from South Wales Police read: "Following an incident in Gorseinon we have issued a Section 60 Notice which gives officers the authority to stop and search anyone within the areas of Gorseinon that are identified on the map.
"The Section 60 Notice will take effect from 10.10pm on Thursday, February 10, until 10.10pm, Friday, February 11."

The notice authorises any constable in uniform, within that locality, to exercise the powers under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to do as follows:
• To stop and search any pedestrian, or anything carried by them for offensive weapons or dangerous instruments without good reason, or
• To stop and search any vehicle, its driver and any passenger, for offensive weapons or dangerous instruments.
The statement added: "This decision has been taken after information has been provided following an incident in the locality where violence has been threatened or used. Section 60 is aimed at preventing serious violence, to find dangerous instruments or to apprehend persons carrying weapons There is a real concern that this matter could escalate.
"There will be an ongoing police presence in the area to provide reassurance to our communities.
"Anyone with any information with regard to those seeking violence and carrying weapons are asked to contact us by one of the following means or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 08090 555111."
A police van and two police cars were seen outside the station and entrances to Argyll Gardens, which backs onto the station, were taped off on Thursday evening.
A tent was erected on a paved area of the bus station, next to a bus shelter, and yellow evidence markers were placed next to various items.
A police spokeswoman added: "Officers are trying to trace anybody else who was in the area at the time, and may have witnessed the assault, or has information regarding those involved.
"Anyone with information is urged to contact South Wales Police by one of the means below quoting reference number 2200047710."
