Farnley Reservoir has been cordoned off by police after a man grabbed a woman during the early hours of this morning.
West Yorkshire Police officers were called to Pudsey Road, Bramley, following reports of a walker being grabbed by a man as she walked along a path next to the reservoir at 3.42am today.
A large police cordon stretching the whole of Pudsey Road and blocking access to the water was put in place and remains hours later. Police confirmed at 12pm the investigation is in its early stages and forensic examination is underway.

Detectives along with four police officers standing guard and three police vans are currently at the scene.
One resident, named only as Paul, who was working Farnley this morning fixing lamp posts, said: "I got here this morning and will be here all day. I knew it was something serious as soon as I arrived."
A resident walking their dog in Pudsey Road said: "I usually take her [the dog] around the water in a morning time. But it’s all blocked off. I hope it’s not something really serious. I just live up the road. There’s always something."
Two men added: "Everyone is talking about it. It’s scary isn’t it. It’s one thing after another."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police confirmed: "At 3.42am today, police were called by a woman who reported being grabbed by a man as she walked along a path next to the reservoir off Pudsey Road, Bramley.
"A scene has been put in place to undergo forensic examination and enquiries are ongoing into the incident."
