Ayrshire police have been stopping drivers on the two-week anniversary of a man going missing.
Officers spoke to around 20 members of the public on Boglemart Street where David Wylie was last spotted.
The 41-year-old Stevenston man was last seen on Thursday, March 23 at 12.30am.
David is described as being around 5ft 9 in height and of a slim build. When last seen, he was wearing a blue/white zipper top, black trousers, black t-shirt and a black beanie hat with grey trim.
Insp Stuart Dougan, Locality Inspector at Saltcoats, said: “Early this morning, exactly two weeks on from the last known place David was seen, we carried out a road check, speaking to drivers and appealing for any further information. During this check, we spoke with almost 20 people, and I would like to thank the public for their continued support of this enquiry.
“Whilst we assess all information from the public, I would continue to appeal to anyone who may have seen David since 24 March, and we have not already spoken with you, please get in touch.
“Specialist and local officers continue to carry out land and water searches close to Hillside Street and surrounding areas, and our enquiries are ongoing.”
Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting reference number 2055 of 24 March 2023.
