Police statement as emergency services called to busy Nottingham road

The emergency services were called to a crash on a busy city road. Officers were called to Douglas Road, Radford, shortly after 8am on Sunday (May 8).

The incident involved two cars, Nottinghamshire Police said. And the road is now clear. A spokesman for the force confirmed that no injuries had been reported. No further delays are expected.

The incident was also reported to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. A crew from the London Road Fire Station attended. The crew assisted the police in making the scene safe. In a tweet, the fire service said: "Our crew from London Road Station have been assisting our colleagues at Nottinghamshire Police making the scene safe at a road traffic collision."
