Police reopen locked-down Melbourne street

Parts of Melbourne's city centre has been reopened after police locked down the area to negotiate with a man carrying petrol cans and hazardous material.

A police critical incident response team was sent to 181 William Street about 7.45am on Tuesday, as officers blocked off the road and negotiated with the man.
