A man has been charged after police seized about $30 million worth of drugs on the Gold Coast.
Police said they searched properties this week at Bundall and Surfers Paradise as part of an operation launched in October targeting drug distribution and supply across southeast Queensland.
Almost 30kg of methylamphetamine with an estimated value of $27 million was seized along with around $20,000 in cash, police said.
Officers took a 30-year-old man into custody during the Surfers Paradise search.
He has been charged with a string of offences and remanded in custody until November 8 after appearing in Southport Magistrates Court.
"This is a significant outcome in the context of the harm caused to the local community by this alleged criminal syndicate," Detective Acting Inspector Russell Joyce said.
"We remain committed to disrupting serious and organised crime and ask the public to continue assisting us by providing any information regarding drug supply in their community."
