POLICE have made an arrest after seizing what they say is half a million pounds worth of drugs from a vehicle travelling on a Scottish motorway.
A man was charged after officers seized 90kg of cannabis, which they say has a street value of £500,000.
Police said they had been “acting on intelligence” when officers stopped a Ford Transit van on the M74 northbound, near Lesmahagow, at around 5.45pm on Thursday, 27 July 2023.
A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Friday, 28 July, 2023.
A report was also sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
