- Police are launching a new public appeal for information regarding the murder of university graduate Melanie Hall, who disappeared almost 30 years ago.
- Melanie, then 25, was last seen at Cadillacs nightclub in Bath in the early hours of June 9, 1996, after a night out with friends.
- Her remains were discovered by workmen next to the northbound slip road at junction 14 of the M5 motorway on October 5, 2009.
- Detective Chief Inspector Ben Lavender will make the appeal on BBC One’s Crimewatch Live, which will also feature an interview with Melanie's father and sister.
- Investigators are seeking information about her last known movements, the M5 location where her body was found, and missing personal items, with a £20,000 reward offered by Crimestoppers.
