Police are searching for a "missing" woman on a Merseyside beach.
At 10.45am HM Coastguard were alerted to a missing woman in Ainsdale. Police are heading up the search with rescue teams from Southport and Crosby coastguard aiding the search.
Photos taken by the ECHO appear to show that a drone has now been sent out to look for the missing woman. Police confirmed that there is a "concern for safety" for the missing person.

A spokesperson for the HM Coastguard said: "HM Coastguard can confirm rescue teams from Crosby and Southport have been involved with the search for a missing woman today (August 9). We were first alerted at around 10.45am."
