Police investigating a series of “highly traumatic” sexual assaults by the North Circular in Ilford have urged any more victims to come forward.
Scotland Yard received “at least five” reports of a man approaching women in the area surrounding Aldborough Road North, Ilford.
A man has been arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault alleged to have happened between December 2021 and February this year.
The sex attacks were said to be “highly traumatic” for the victims who continue to receive support from specialist officers.
DI Sion Hughes said: “While we have charged someone with three offences, my primary concern is that there may be other victims, and those victims may need support.
“We know that women are disproportionately affected by crime of this nature and are absolutely committed to doing everything we can to make women feel safe and be safe.
“If you believe that you have been a victim of sexual assault, please come forward. We will support you and take action to place the person responsible before the courts.”
