A 15-year-old schoolgirl who went missing from her home in Gateshead has been found.
Officers from Northumbria Police released an appeal on Monday morning trying to trace Simone Houchin, of Gateshead, and said they were concerned for her welfare.
Simone had last been seen around 12.30am today (Monday March 27) in the Chopwell Gardens area of Wrekenton. Searches took place and police asked anyone who knew of her whereabouts to come forward.
Northumbria Police shared on Twitter and Facebook: "We're searching for missing Gateshead girl Simone Houchin and need your help.
"Simone, 15, was last seen in the early hours of today - about 12.30am - in the Chopwell Gardens area of Wrekenton. She's not been seen since and we're concerned for her welfare.

"Simone's six foot, with blonde hair worn in a ponytail. She may be wearing black glasses, a royal blue sweatshirt with a black puffa jacket, black sweatpants and black trainers. She may have a backpack and is believed to be on foot. Please call 101 quoting NP-20230327-0025."
At just after 10am, Northumbria Police confirmed that Simone had been found safe and well.
