Police say mosque replica on top of loyalist bonfire is hate crime

The placing of a mosque replica on top of a loyalist bonfire pyre in Co Tyrone is being treated as a “hate-motivated criminal offence”, police have said.

The model, visible on top of the pyre in Moygashel on Thursday, has been widely condemned by political parties, religious leaders and a human rights group.
