Exclusion zone lifted in Warwick, south-west of Brisbane, after stand off

Police made an emergency declaration after reports of an armed man in Warwick. (ABC News: Tobias Loftus)

A 12-hour siege on Queensland's Southern Downs has ended, with police finding the body of a 38-year-old man in a house in Warwick.

The incident began last night after officers received reports of a man armed with a firearm at a property on Wantley Street.

Police said no shots were fired and no threats were made.

The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.

They had negotiated with a man holed up inside a home after locking down homes surrounded by Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street.

The emergency declaration was lifted this morning.

The declaration had boundaries encompassing Wood Street, Gore Street, Grafton Street and Dragon Street. (Supplied: QPS)
