Police Scotland are reminding people of a simple offence they could be causing during any maintenance work or refurbishments to their homes this summer.

Bird nesting season is now well underway and officers have taken the time to ask people to remember that these nests are protected by law.

This means that any damage caused to nests could be deemed an offence in the eyes of the law.
