Police release photos of jewellery suspected to have been stolen in Gateshead

These pictures of suspected stolen jewellery have been released by police after the items were seized during a burglary investigation.

Northumbria Police officers found three necklaces, 12 rings, a bracelet, and a pendant from the home of a man arrested on suspicion of burglary. The items are believed to have been stolen from properties across Gateshead.

Now images of the jewellery have been released in a bid to reunite them with their rightful owners.

Det Con Chris Sample, from the force’s central burglary team, said: "We do not think these pieces of jewellery belong to the occupant of the house in which they were found.

"However, we do not know where they have been stolen from and so have taken the decision to release a picture of them. We think they were stolen from the Gateshead area and would love to be able to reunite them with their owners."

If you believe any of these items could belong to you please contact the police by calling 101 or by using the Tell us Something page on their website. You can also email 2533@northumbria.pnn.police.uk
