Police release CCTV of man they hope to trace after 'incident' near night club

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following an incident in Warrington town centre.

Cheshire Police confirmed the incident took place on Sunday, March 5 between 6am and 6.45am near to a night club on Friars Gate. Following the incident, the man was reported to have travelled to the Widnes area.

As part of their investigation, officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they believe could have information that could help with their enquiries. Anyone with information is being urged to contact the force.

Detective Inspector Helen Clegg from Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: "Enquiries in relation to this incident have been ongoing since March and as part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may hold vital information.

"I would urge anyone who recognises the man to contact the team here at Warrington, so we are able to speak to him. I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV images to get in touch so we can progress this investigation.

"Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire police on 101, or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 1493318." Information can also be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
