Police release CCTV images of man after serious assault on Sauchiehall Street

Police have released images of a man following a serious assault in Glasgow at the start of the year.

Officers believe the man may be able to assist with enquiries following the incident on Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow around 11.45pm on Tuesday, February 15.

A man was rushed to hospital after the attack on the busy street and sustained significant facial injuries.

The man who police believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries is described as being white and aged between 20 and 35. He is of slim build and was wearing a blue jacket, with dark jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Officers are urging anyone with information on the man, or the man himself, to get in touch.

Detective Constable James Herbison from Greater Glasgow CID said: "This was a particularly serious attack on a busy area of Glasgow City Centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for significant facial injuries.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for the man pictured, or anyone who has information relating to him or the assault to contact police.”

Anyone with any information is being urged to contact 101, quoting reference number 3891 of February 15, 2022.
