CCTV footage has been released of a man after a serious assault in Glasgow city centre.

A 999 response attended Holland Street after the alleged assault at 12.05am on Thursday, September 29. Medics attended and found a man with serious injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown.

Officers investigating the rammy have released images of a male they believe could assist them with their inquiries. He is described as being white, around 6ft 4in tall, of a medium build, with short, dark hair and around 25 to 35 years of age.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark-coloured zipped hooded top, dark T-shirt, grey shorts and white trainers.

Detective Constable James Herbison, from Greater Glasgow CID, said: “This was a particularly serious attack in a busy area of Glasgow city centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment. I would urge the male, or anyone who has information relating to the male, depicted in this image to make contact with the police.”
