Police Recover Valuables From Colorado Locker Room Theft at Rose Bowl

The Pasadena Police Department has identified the suspects accused of theft from the Colorado locker room at the Rose Bowl while the team played UCLA last Saturday.

The suspects in the case are juveniles, and the investigation is still ongoing. It is unclear whether the suspects have been taken into custody at this time.

Investigators with the police department confirmed that some of the items have been returned to Colorado players, but that other items remain missing as the investigation continues.

“The Pasadena Police Department would like to thank those who reported leads to our tip line,” the Department said on Friday, per ABC7 in Los Angeles. “The information and support are invaluable and play a crucial role in helping us ensure safety and security in our community. Our detectives worked diligently to follow up on all leads, which resulted in the quick execution of search warrants. The investigation will be ongoing.”

Colorado football players reported cash and jewelry stolen out of their locker room at the Rose Bowl during a recent game at UCLA. Pasadena police have identified suspects, and say that some items have been returned.

Multiple players and Colorado staffers reported that they were missing cash and jewelry from the locker room following Colorado’s 28–16 loss. The Pasadena Police Department quickly opened an investigation into the burglary of the locker room, and now a week later say they have made considerable progress in reviewing the incident.

Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders was frustrated by the theft, and called for action during his Tuesday press conference earlier this week.

“I would expect the NCAA to do something about that [theft],” Sanders said Tuesday in his weekly news conference. “These are college kids, I’m pretty sure they don’t think about insurance at this point and juncture in their life. … NCAA, you do something about everything else. Do something about this one … Who robs the Rose Bowl? All that stuff should be replaced.”

While the investigation has yet to be completed, it’s clear great progress has been made in ensuring a swift resolution to the case.
