Police patrol Hackney streets after ‘school war’ post urges pupils to bring weapons to mass fight

Police are patrolling the streets of East London after students from eight different schools were encouraged to participate in a violent ‘Hackney War’, just days after two pupils were stabbed in a London classroom.

Schoolchildren in year 9 were encouraged to ‘be violent’ and bring sharp items, such as compasses and metal combs, to the McDonald’s on Mare Street in Hackney, as part of a fight being organised on social media.
