Counterterrorism police are investigating after two women were seriously injured in Leeds and a man arrested with a crossbow and firearm recovered at the scene.

Counter Terrorism Policing North East said it has taken over the investigation after a police operation was launched in a popular hospitality district in the northern city when three people were injured in a “serious incident”.
