Police staff with links to organised crime, sex offenders and drug dealers have slipped through the vetting net, the Home Office has been warned.

His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) raised concerns in a letter to the Home Office, published on Thursday.
