Police officers freed three dogs who were trapped in a van for almost three days. Neighbourhood officers shared photos of the dogs being given food and water after their ordeal.
The dogs were rescued by officers from Springfield Neighbourhood Team in Birmingham, part of West Midlands Police. It said the animals were "now in safe places", BirminghamLive reports.
Police said in an update on the incident: "Officers have worked together in order to free 3 dogs from a locked van. The Dogs were locked in for almost 3 days however are now in safe places."
Tracey Kirby replied to the pictures saying: "Great work! Poor dogs. What is wrong with people today?" West Midlands Police has been contacted for comment.
