A Queensland police officer has been suspended after being charged with stalking.
The alleged incident occurred while the 37-year-old woman was off-duty, Queensland Police said.
The senior constable from the far northern region has been charged with one count of stalking and will appear in Tully Magistrates Court on April 18.
"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct," a police statement said.
"This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated."
