David Carrick will not have his prison sentence increased, despite concerns that the decision to avoid a whole-life tarriff meant it was unduly lenient.
The Solicitor General has said the case of rapist Metropolitan Police officer will not be referred under the unduly lenient sentencing scheme – saying the high threshold had not been met.
