Police officer drops off couple’s takeaway after pulling over 'k**b' delivery driver

A police officer was not about to let a couple go hungry after pulling over their delivery driver.

A Met Police cop completed the job after reportedly blue lighting the man after he went through a red light.

Jamie George, 32, and his partner Nicole Dixon, 31, couldn't believe a copper knocked on their door to drop off their food last night.

They ordered buffalo wings, Korean BBQ wings and chicken tenders from a local shop in Welling, south east London.

The couple caught the arrival of their grub on their Ring doorbell.

The officer reportedly asked them: “Did you order food?"

After they confirmed they did, he added: "You get a police officer to deliver it because we stopped your delivery driver being a k**b down the road.”

Salesman Mr George told The Sun about about his surprise at seeing the officer with their bag of food at their door.

“It was a shock, to be honest,” he said.

"We didn’t know if he was moonlighting as a delivery driver.”

The Metropolitan Police said a man was stopped on his moped after being caught by police driving driven through a red light.

They confirmed one of the on-duty cops completed the order with the property close by.

A spokesman said: “One of the officers walked a short distance to deliver the food.”
