Police have obtained new CCTV footage as they attempt to track down a gang of around 50 youths who ransacked a Nottingham McDonald's. The restaurant chain has said it was "shocked and appalled" by the incident at its branch on Clumber Street, which saw food and drink being stolen as members of staff were reportedly threatened and abused by the group.
Footage on social media emerged which appeared to show the incident on Sunday, August 21, at around 9pm. Nottinghamshire Police says that some people jumped over the counter to steal food as it was being prepared in the kitchen.
The group are believed to be between 14 to 16 years old and dressed in tracksuit bottoms, hats and caps. Officers also said the same group were reportedly congregating outside the Milton Street McDonald's at around 10pm, but nothing was taken.

Nottinghamshire Police now says a team of experienced detectives are working on the case and that they have obtained CCTV footage of the incident. Detective Inspector Jonathan Kerry, who is leading the team, said the investigation remained at an early stage but that good progress had been made.
He said: "We are treating this incident extremely seriously and a dedicated team of detectives and staff are working hard on the investigation. CCTV footage has been obtained and we are continuing to make good progress on identifying those involved.
"That said, we would still welcome anyone who has information or video footage that may assist the investigation to come forward. This incident was completely unacceptable and we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of those responsible."
