Police looking for man who allegedly broke $25,000 door of government building during CFMEU rally in Brisbane

Queensland police are still looking for a man they allege played a roll in breaking a $25,000 door at a government building during a CFMEU rally earlier this month.

Investigators released footage of the man appearing to pull on the door before it breaks.

They are urging the man, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward.

Police allege three people forced open the glass door of the Commonwealth Parliament Offices at Waterford Place, on Eagle Street, at approximately 11:30am on Wednesday, April 5.

A 36-year-old New Beith man and a 31-year-old Brisbane City woman have both been served a notice to appear for wilful damage and are due to appear in court on May 16.

The march through Brisbane's CBD rallied for the abolishment of the Fair Work Ombudsman and was attended by around 5,000 CFMEU members.

It will be alleged the damage to the building cost $25,000 to repair the glass door.

At the time, the union offered to fix the door themselves.

Protesters crowded around the offices at Waterfront Place in Brisbane's CBD earlier this month.
