Police launch urgent appeal to help trace boy missing overnight in Lanarkshire

Police are appealing for the assistance of the public to trace a boy reported missing from Shotts.

Kayden Campbell, 14, was last seen on Station Road, around 10pm last night.

He is described as white, 5ft in height, of a skinny build, has brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black North Face jacket, grey jogging bottoms and a black baseball cap.

Constable Christopher Duffin, Shotts Police Station, said: "Since Kayden was reported missing by his family in the early hours of this morning officers have been making enquiries but so far no one has seen or heard from him which is a concern for everyone.

"He was spotted at a takeaway on Station Road last night but not been seen since.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to get in touch with police."

UPDATE: Kayden Campbell has been traced safe and well.
