Police launch search for missing Scots teen last seen in Inverness

Police in Inverness are appealing for information after a 16-year-old girl disappeared from the Highland city on Tuesday.

Shanai Anderson was last seen at around 5pm on June 13 in an unspecified area of Inverness. Officers have described her as 5ft 6ins in height with fair, blonde hair.

When last seen, she is believed to have been wearing a grey Stone Island-branded top, black leggings and white trainers. She may also have been carrying a black bag of unspecified make and type.

An image has been released of the missing teen to help with enquiries. Investigators probing her disappearance have asked anyone who may have information on her whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.

A Police Scotland statement released via social media read: "Anyone who may have seen Shanai since this time, or who has any information which could be relevant, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number PS20230613-4721."
