A 24-year-old man has been charged with assaulting emergency workers and drug offences after an incident near Sefton Park.
In April 2021 a man was seen by officers carrying out a drug transaction near Sefton Park, and while making off he knocked over officers in the process. The man was detained, and following a search of a property officers found a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis.
Malik Murphy-Vaughn, 24, of North Sudley Road, Aigburth has now been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. He has also been charged with two counts of assault of an emergency worker.

A police spokesman said: "Murphy-Vaughn was arrested and has now been charged with the offences. He will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on May 18 2022.
