Police have issued a warning to anyone with a car after an increase in thefts.
There has been an increase in theft from motor vehicles in the Wirral area as Merseyside Police urge people to remain vigilant. There has been a particular increase in reports in the Meols area between March 12 and March 13.
Taking to social media, the Wirral policing team shared three top tips on keeping your vehicle safe from criminals. These included:

- Make sure you have locked your vehicle and your windows are closed too. Don't presume your fob has done its job and take a minute to double check
- Remove your valuables. Even bags, jackets and children toys have value to a thief.
- Consider installing CCTV that covers your property or where your vehicle is parked.
The policing team added: "We urge local residents of Meols who have CCTV footage of anyone acting suspiciously between Sunday 12th March and Monday 13th March to contact us on A.Community.Hub.1@merseyside.police.uk."
