Police issue urgent appeal to trace man who absconded from Ilford care facility

Police have issued an appeal to trace a potentially violent man who absconded from a care facility in Ilford.

Balasankar Narayanan, 43, left his care facility on Thursday.

When last seen he was wearing a blue and white striped t-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms with a black baseball cap, the Met Police said.

Narayanan has links to Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate and Ilford, as well as the West Midlands.

Police suspect he may be travelling by train and have urged staff and travellers to report sightings of him immediately.

He could potentially be anywhere in the country, police warned.

The Met said that Narayan can be violent and have urged the public not to approach him.

Narayanan previously absconded from the facility in June before being found.

Anyone who sees Narayan should call police on 999, ref 23MIS032186.
