A man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after an elderly man was found dead in Old Trafford has been released under investigation, police have confirmed.
A probe was launched after the victim - aged in his 80s - was found dead in a ground floor flat on Edgbaston Drive last Wednesday (July 20). Emergency services were called to the scene after a receiving a concern for welfare report.
A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has now been released from police custody and remains under investigation, a GMP spokesperson said.
