Police issue picture appeal after woman sexually assaulted as she boarded Waterloo train

Police believe this man may be able to help their investigation - (British Transport Police)

Police are trying to trace a man after a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted as she boarded a train at London Waterloo.

The woman was at the station around 11.30am on November 21, when she was reportedly followed by a man who then sexually assaulted her as she got on her service.

British Transport Police (BTP) on Wednesday released two CCTV images of a man they are keen to trace.

The photos appeared to show the man in a shop, wearing a blue hoodie beneath a black puffer coat, and a black rucksack.

“Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help with their investigation,” said a BTP spokesperson.
