A police investigation has been launched after a man died with "serious injuries" at a home in Gateshead.

Emergency services were called to a property on Clavering Road in Winlaton at around 9.20am on Tuesday, May 17 following a report of "concern for a man". Inside, police found a 47-year-old man who was seriously injured and sadly died at the scene.
