Police are investigating an incident of affray after men with weapons reportedly threatened a man in Sunderland.
Officers from Northumbria Police received a report that a man had entered a shop on Ryhope Street South after being threatened by three men shortly after 12.45pm.
As a precaution the Firearms Support Unit (FSU) attended the scene and also spoke to the victim at his home.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 12.45pm today (Monday) police received a third party report a man had entered a shop on Ryhope Street South, after being threatened by a group of three males.
"It was reported the men had been in possession of weapons and so as a precaution officers from the Force's Firearms Support Unit (FSU) attended the scene and spoke to the 28-year-old victim at an address on St Paul's Terrace."
They confirmed that an investigation is now underway.
"The incident is currently being treated as an affray and an investigation is ongoing."
