Police are investigating after reports a young boy on his way to school was approached by an unknown man in lane. The incident, which has been described by police as "suspicious" is reported to have happened in the Thornhill/ Llanishen area of Cardiff on Tuesday morning.
It is reported to have happened in the lane between Shaftesbury Close and Brookvale Drive.
A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said the man is described as 30 to 40 years old, of slim build, with hairy arms. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and dark hoodie with the hood-up which is likely to have stood out on such a hot day. The man did not say anything, and the boy, who was unharmed, ran off.
Detective Inspector Tim Jones said: “I understand the concern this incident will cause, and enquiries are being made to establish the full circumstances. This is an isolated incident and no other similar incidents have been reported.”
