Nottinghamshire Police were called to the scene of an incident on the A52 in Nottingham overnight. The road was closed at around 11pm and did not reopened until the early hours of this morning.
Highways England officials provided details on the road closure on Twitter overnight, with the closed in both directions between the B6003 Bardills Roundabout and the A6007 Bramcote Island near Bramcote. Highways said it was a police led incident.
At 11pm Highways England said: "The A52 is closed in both directions between the B6003 (Bardills Roundabout) and the A6007 (BramcoteIsland) near Bramcote, Nottingham due to a police led incident.
In Another tweet they said: "f you're heading A52 please be aware of the ongoing closure in both directions between the B6003 (#BardillsRoundabout) and the A6007 (Bramcote Island) due to a police incident.
The incident has now been cleared and the road reopened at around 3am on Wednesday, July 5, Highways officials confirmed.
