Police hunting thugs who punched two men in the face in Leeds city centre attack

CCTV images have been released of two men in connection with an assault in Leeds.

On Sunday (August 28) two men were punched in the face in Lower Briggate, Leeds city centre. The incident took place around 6am.

Now West Yorkshire Police are conducting an investigation to identify two males captured on CCTV. The force are asking members of the public with any information, or eyewitnesses to the incident, to come forward as soon as possible.

In a statement, WYP confirmed: "Police are appealing for information to identify the two males in the images in relation to an assault that took place in Leeds on Sunday, 28 August. The assault took place on Lower Briggate at around 6am and involved two male victims being punched to the face."

Leeds CID ask that if you have information which can help identify the males in the images to contact them by calling 101 or using the online chat service at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat quoting crime reference 13220474393. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or online.
