Police searching for a missing woman have found a body on a beach in Sussex.
Olga Jarosz, 40, vanished from London and was thought to be in the Eastbourne area.
Sussex Police said a member of the public discovered the remains of a female at 6.40am on Sunday morning. Ms Jarosz’s family in Poland have been informed.
Officers concerned for her welfare had appealed on March 7 for anyone who had information on her whereabout to dial 999. Extensive searches were carried out in the area over recent days.
In a statement, Sussex Police said: “Sadly a body of a woman was found by a member of the public at about 6.40am on Sunday March 12 on Seaford Beach.
“Enquiries are ongoing but the family of Olga Jarosz who was missing from London have been informed.
