Early Friday morning, police were observed making arrests and dismantling an anti-Israel encampment at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Video footage captured officers from the Philadelphia Police Department detaining protesters and rummaging through tents set up on campus.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro recently called for the encampment to be disbanded. Additionally, at least six students received emails from the University of Pennsylvania notifying them that they are 'on leave' due to their involvement in the anti-Israel protests.
