Police officers raided an empty business premises after receiving reports of a suspected cannabis farm.
Police attended a property on Summerhill Street near Newcastle city centre on Wednesday, September 14. They received reports that the address was being used as a suspected cannabis farm.
When officers searched the building, they seized a number of items connected to the supply of the class B drug. They also discovered that the electricity had been bypassed.
Northumbria Police said their investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A spokesperson for the force said: "On September 14, we received a report of concern that an address on Summerhill Street, Newcastle, was being used as a suspected cannabis farm.
"Officers attended the address and found the electricity had been bypassed and found a number of items within the address connected to the supply of the illegal drug. The address was made safe and the equipment seized. Enquiries are on-going."
