Mercy crews are in attedance following an incident at a homeless hotel in Glasgow.
Police were alerted to the incident at the Alexander Thomson Hotel on Argyle Street this morning, May 31, and quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off an area outside the hotel, reports Glasgow Live.
An eyewitness said that the premises next to the hotel had been taped off with the building's shutters remaining down.
An image from the scene shows a police van sitting stationery at the hotel, with police tape in front of it, as morning commuters walk past.
No information is available at this time on any casualties but Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
Road access has not been affected by the incident.
Eight deaths that were belived to be drug related occurred at the hotel during the Covid-19 pandemic, between April and December 2020.
The owners, GDB Hotels, came under heavy criticism from charities for the state of the facility.
