A police probe remains ongoing more than a fortnight after a champion cyclist was hospitalised in a horror hit-and-run on a main road near Kippen.
We told how Christina Mackenzie was left in agony in hospital with a double fracture to her pelvis in the shocking incident.
The 45-year-old was struck by an SUV-type car towing a farming trailer on the busy B822 – at the Kippen roundabout – while on a training ride.
The driver then failed to stop and police launched an investigation.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 27, at around 5pm. More than two weeks after the crash, police are still appealing for information and the driver’s identity remains a mystery.
Christina said she was approaching the roundabout from the direction of Stirling and indicated to turn right with her arm and moved to the right hand side of the carriageway.
It was at that point that a vehicle, believed to have been an SUV-type car, came up on her right side, colliding with her before
the trailer it was towing also hit her, knocking her onto the ground.

Christina this week took to social media to detail the impact the devastating injury has had on her, saying: “When I left home on September 27 for a training session, I was fit and healthy ... when I returned back home yesterday (Friday, October 7), I was a different person to that self-driven and motivated cyclist.”
She added: “I’m so grateful for the friends I have, they have been so supportive and been able to help me over the last 11 days and seen me at my worst.
“I arrived back home to a food shopping, fresh bedding and flowers. It’s these simple things in life that make me happy and appreciative of the lovely people around me.”
