A dog died at the scene of a horror lorry crash in Prestwick which killed an elderly man, police have confirmed.
The pooch and an 83-year-old man both died at the scene near to the Bellrock pub on Ayr Road after being struck by a lorry.
A horrified eyewitness has told how they called an ambulance immediately after the crash.
