Police 'concerned for safety' of missing mum, 17, and seven-month-old baby

Police have renewed an appeal to help find a teenager and a baby who went missing a week ago.

Layla, 17, and seven-month-old Noah were last seen in the Top Valley area of Nottingham at 11pm on Monday, June 5.

Nottinghamshire Police have re-appealed for information, releasing a picture of the infant as part of the investigation.

Layla is described as about 5ft 4 ins tall, with long, straight black hair. She was last seen wearing a pink full length dressing gown and black Crocs.

Noah, who has auburn hair, is believed to be in a pushchair.

As well as Nottingham, Layla also has links to Birmingham and Derby.

Anyone with information is asked to call the force on 101, quoting incident 864 of June 5.

A spokesperson for the police said: "We are very concerned for their safety and urgently want to hear from anyone who has seen them."

Top Valley is a largely residential area in the north of Nottingham that lies approximately 4 miles from the city centre.

"If you have seen Layla and Noah or have any information on where they are, please call us on 101 quoting incident 864 of 5th June 2023," Nottinghamshire Police added.

Derbyshire Constabulary shared a similar statement calling for information from members of the public: "Can you help officers at Nottinghamshire Police as they appeal to find Layla and Noah?"
