Police close rape investigation into Strictly Come Dancing star

Police

An investigation into an unnamed Strictly Come Dancing star, who was arrested on suspicion of rape, has been closed by police.
The individual was taken into custody in October 2025 following an alleged incident that occurred after a BBC event in 2024.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed that no criminal charges will be brought against the person.
Detectives determined there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the case, after seeking early advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.
The alleged victim was reportedly neither a contestant nor a professional dancer on the show.
